Francis Bacon: If a man will begin with certainties, he shall end in doubts; but if he will be content to begin with doubts, he shall end in certainty.
Laozi: Failure is the foundation of success; success is the lurking place of failure.

Never Give Up
At times in life it may feel like we are in quicksand. Slowly sinking and not being able to pull ourselves out. This is the time to be extra strong to climb out of the dark hole. Find a support system to help encourage you, change attitude, accept the challenge, create a game plan, and short-term goals. If you are like me taking on to much and trying to balance the world on your shoulders, just STOP. Re-evaluate your life. I have been over filling my plate for years. All this does is create over exhaustion, lack in areas of need, and anxiety. Take time out to appreciate life. Like the saying goes "stop and smell the roses." This will relax your mind and calm your nerves. Put your mental and physical health first. This can be difficult when you have children, but it is the most important thing you can do for them. If Mommy is exhausted, stressed, angry, depressed, or sad, she will not be 100% there for her children.
If one has a financial problem then tackle the issue one thing at a time. First figure out how far in debt you are, then figure out your earnings (net pay). Create an excel worksheet that you can keep track of your monthly expense and pay each pay period. Slowly start chipping away your debt, then you will start digging yourself out of the hole.
Always look at your problem in pieces. When you look at everything at once it can cause panic. What does panic do for you? Absolutely NOTHING; except cause depression or anxiety.
Never give up, because those challenges are here for a reason. It may not feel like it at that moment, but there is always a lesson to be taught. Once you figure the lesson, then you will grow stronger and move forward. Always expect challenges and welcome them with open arms.
I believe in you, never give up!

Credit Card fraud online
I found a great article that provides some valuable information: http://redtape.msnbc.com/2010/09/it-started-out-as-a-routine-case-of-credit-card-fraud-dr-gemma-meadows-an-optometrist-in-virginia-got-a-call-from-bank-o.html
The key advice is to follow these steps:
Anyone else who finds themselves being used as part of a credit card fraud operation.
*Insist the police department get a subpoena for the email accounts involved, and pull all the records.
*Every time it happened, I would send a letter to the email addresses saying, “Stop using my information,” and I would copy the police department I am working with. Sometimes that scares off the suspect
* Call the local U.S. Postal Inspector’s office and see if you can get anyone to care there. The postal service is more likely to investigate widespread mail fraud than local police.
* File a complaint with the Internet Crime Complaint Center at www.ic3.gov
I think this will be great information for people who have had their email account hacked into the past few months.

Wanting A Career
Are you left hurt in the recession or just want to be in a career. I found the five steps to Career Planning Cycle by www.californiacareers.info
1) Learn about yourself
2) Investigate the world of work
3) Use what you have learned
4) Test the waters
5) Find and Get a Job
This is a great path to follow and to constantly review. I know it gets frustrating when you don't get the job you want. Learn from your interview experiences. Think about the questions, if possible ask for their professional opinion, feedback, and remember to never stop believing in yourself. I truly believe when one door shuts another will open. If times are tough try a temp agency, you get your foot in the door and gain more experience. Now if you haven't landed your dream job, continue to educate yourself, ask to learn more at your current job, and then once you are ready it will be time for your career.
It can feel frustrating when you don't feel settled, but it will happen, it just won't be when you want it to. Once it does you will feel complete and rewarded for all your hard work!
Patience is the companion of wisdom. - St. Augustine
One moment of patience may ward off great disaster. One moment of impatience may ruin a whole life. - Chinese Proverb
Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm. - Winston Churchill
Don't aim for success if you want it; just do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally. -David Frost
The last one touches my soul because that is what I seek, something I love and believe in.

Facing the Past for a Brighter Future
I have been through so much you could write a bunch of mini series on lifetime. One of the hardest things I did last year was to face my past, re-live tragic events, accept and close those chapters in my life. It was something that needed to be done whether I liked it or not.
You know the saying "sometimes in order to get ahead you must take two steps back" that is a very true statement. We must face our past in order to understand what choices we made, what have we learned, and how to never make the same mistake again. I will share my story because it is something that happens to many woman surprisingly. Right before I got into a bad relationship, I was sexually assaulted and left for dead one evening during a night out. I won't go into details because their is no need to, you get my point. Last year the man was caught because he had kidnapped a woman, luckily she didn't get assaulted, but he got 40 to life in prison. The prosecutors were trying to take my case to trail, but it was hell to get there. I felt violated all over again and they would have got my ex involved, because of the domestic violence. Doesn't seem right the defendant has more rights than the prosecutor right? well they do! If I would have brought it to trail he would have got the max of 6 years if the jury found him guilty with sexual assault on his record. I had to make many hard decisions and decided to settle without the sexual assault, only and only, because he was already serving 40 to life on another sentence. It wasn't worth putting everyone and myself through for a 6 year sentence on the assault or a total of 8 years with other charges.
My point of telling you story is because it was a tragic event in my life that could have easily controlled me. I chose to be strong, pick up the pieces, and TAKE MY LIFE BACK!!!!
It takes time to heal old wounds, but it can be done.
I told you my life was like a lifetime movie. I have made some poor choices, but I refuse to make anymore. That is what is important. Never feel embarrassed, because no one is perfect and should never be judged on their inperfections. It is easy to look from the outside in, but you truly don't know until you are inside the situation what other factors are clouding their judgement. The only one who can get out of the situations are the people themselves.
By facing my past I learned to accept it and move on. I don't cry about it anymore or have flashbacks. I feel free because it isn't a secret anymore, I don't feel dead inside, I feel alive. That is what matters. Taking your past and making it a positive. Have support to get you through it. Feel free to express yourself on my blog, share stories, input that helps others, and feedback. I cherish every idea and want a place where people have support to get through each day and have motivation to achieve their goals.
Good luck and good night

Effective Team
Last night when our class was discussing the chain of an Effective team it reminded me of a Marriage or Relationship. The chain has the following characteristics:
Clear Goals
Relevant Skills
Mutual Trust
Unified Commitment
Good Communication
Negotiating Skills
Appropriate Leadership
Internal Support
External Support
Reviewing this made me think of why relationships fail. One of these characteristics are not being met, some are easy to fix and others may not be as easy, but it takes all parties to comply with each one in order for it to work. Growing up I have always wished I could be in a relationship like my parents. They are truly each others best friend and satisfy each of these characteristics. I thank my parents for setting a great example of a healthy relationship and I strive to find one equally as good. Looking at this list think about your own relationship and find out if anything is missing, meet with your partner and discuss. In order to resolve the problem both parties must want to find a solution. I know how it feels to be in a one sided relationship, it is frustrating and gets no where fast when your the only one trying.
